Under an executive order issued by President Obama Friday, the government will stop deportation proceedings against illegal immigrants who entered the USA illegally, before they were 16 and are younger than 30. While Obama said the Congress should pass the so called “DREAM Act,” Republicans claimed the president ignored the constitution and the legislative process with his executive order.
The president’s announcement in the Rose Garden became tense, when a reporter from the Daily Caller, Neil Munro, interrupted Obama and asked him, “Mr. President, why do you favor foreign workers over Americans?” The president scolded Munro, telling him not to interrupt.
While Republicans criticized today’s announcement, Democrats hailed it.
