Congressional Candidate Calls Obama a ‘Liar’

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling upholding the Affordable Health Care Act, Connecticut congressional candidate Justin Bernier is calling President Obama a ‘liar.’  Although the court deemed most of the law in violation of the Constitution, it viewed Obama care as a tax, thus making it legal in the eyes of the Congress’ power to tax.  Chief Justice John Roberts was the difference in the 5-4 vote in writing the opinion on the verdict.   Because it is essentially a tax in the court’s eyes, Bernier said the ruling essentially makes Obama a ‘liar’ because he promised not to raise taxes on the middle class and this is a tax increase on the middle class.  Bernier, who is among four Republican candidates seeking the 5th District congressional nomination in Connecticut, promised he would work for repeal, if elected.
