Since the first of the year, President Barack Obama has held just one news conference. Veteran White House reporter Keith Koffler speculates the news conference is dying and the public is the loser. Koffler says the White House is doing its best to control access to Obama, surprising, considering the President’s promise for “openness” in his administration. Koffer also says one-on-one interviews with the President do not reveal much, because of his penchant for giving long answers.
